Study on Mix Proportion Design Procedure for Super-high Cementitious RCC with Stone Powder Replacement

Super-high cementitious roller-compacted concrete (SHCRCC) that have unit materials content of 220 kg/m3 or higher can be recognized as “construction friendly RCC”. In this study, the proposition how to reduce construction costs without sacrificing workability was investigated. To solve issue, mix proportions replacing high volume materials, cement, and fly ash with stone powder (SP) were surveyed. Based on exhaustive investigations, it found proportion realized sufficient tolerance workability. proposed proportion, replaced SP up about 100 provide a large paste 240 260 L/m3. addition, verified plays role an alternative since compressive tensile strengths RCC, watertightness bond strength at lift joints are same as, if not better than RCC (HCRCC). Reducing also helps control temperature rise RCC. case large-scale dam 150 m in height 2 million m3 5 zones, is cost reduction 25 30% for chemical admixture, placement speed 20% faster medium (MCRCC) thanks margin.
